Our Courses

At Focus Language School, General English is offered to students of all English abilities. We aim to improve your reading, writing, listening, and spoken English with a focus on how the language is used in real life, to give you the ability and confidence to use English outside of a classroom setting. 

The focus of the EAP course is to develop English language proficiency for academic use, which students will require in order to study alongside native speakers in further and higher education. EAP 1 bridges the gap between General English and Academic English. EAP 2 focuses on developing students' academic English skills to prepare them for vocational level studies and follow them into tertiary studies. 

At Focus Language School, our High School Preparation (HSP) program offers comprehensive pathways for international students aged 7 to 17. We provide two specialised streams: the Junior Stream for students aged 7-12 preparing for primary and lower secondary entry (Years 2 to 7), and the Senior Stream for students aged 13-17 preparing for middle and senior secondary entry (Years 7 to 11). Our curriculum is developed by experienced professionals endorsed by industry quality assurance bodies. Our teaching pedagogy provides a comprehensive and integrated approach to learning, ensuring students develop academically and socially while improving their English proficiency for confident transition to mainstream Australian schooling.

At Focus Language School, the OET course offers a pathway for international medical professionals and health science students. We provide mock OET tests in all skill areas, targeted drills, and peer and instructor feedback sessions as well as professional seminars and workplace visits. 

Focus provides short study programs for overseas students of various age groups. Our course content is rich in choice, flexible in arrangement, and filled with experiences unique to Australia. We can also tailor the learning experience according to the size and needs of the study groups.
